Funding and editorial control

Layer2C.com is the editorial canon. It does not publish winners and losers. Layer2C Labs is ad-supported and helps fund that canon. The trust boundary is structural: the URL tells you which surface you are on.

Editorial labs live on pages under labs.layer2c.com and are self-funded. Sponsored labs live on their own vendor subdomain. Sponsorship funds the work, not the conclusion. The CTO Advisor retains control over methodology, interpretation, findings, and publication.

Labs are separate from the unpaid Layer2C assessments. Sponsorship does not purchase a score, a ranking, an endorsement, a certification, or preferred placement. When a lab is sponsored, the sponsor is named on the page.
